Government Affairs
Business Day in Madison
Monona Terrace Community & Convention Center
One John Nolen Drive, Madison
Thursday, February 23 8AM-4PM
Voters shifted the paradigm in November 2010 from a big government, centralized
bureaucratic model to a decentralized, small government model dedicated to
personal and economic growth. But will elected representatives rethink the role
of government in American life? Will they reform the processes where government
has a legitimate role? And will they operate government in a cooperative manner
with the private sector to rebuild our nation’s economy?
Business Day in Madison is your opportunity to hear directly from your
elected officials! Appointments will be scheduled for attendees to visit with
their local legislators in their offices that day--it's Housing's opportunity to
have their individual voices heard!
HNBA Members interested in attending Business Day in Madison must pre-register
through the HNBA office by February 1! For more information, call 715-736-4622
or contact Kevin Sunderland (GA Committee Chair) at 715-418-0119.
Congratulations, Roger Rivard! Elected to represent the 75th State Assembly District on 11/2/10

As reported in the October 2010 HNBA Happenings newsletter, the GA Committee endorsed Roger Rivard for the Representative of the 75th Assembly District. Roger is a real-estate professional and small business owner, and shares the same frustrations felt by many of our members in housing and related industries. More information on Roger and his campaign can be found at www.rivardforassembly.com.
We wish Roger luck as he enters this new phase in his career! We know he'll represent us well!
