Builders Association Information

Why become a member?

There are great advantages in being a part of a builders association, including education opportunities found locally, credibility with being involved with a professional association, networking and idea sharing with others in the industry, advantageous marketing opportunities exclusive to members, and special events such as the annual Parade of Homes and Home Show. As a member, you will also have access to valuable services and discounts through the Wisconsin Builders Association (WBA) and National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), including the availability of insurance at group rates, discounts on GM vehicles and Dell computers, and others. Additionally, there are fun and exciting events throughout the year such as the annual golf outing and some special banquets with exceptional entertainment. Every month you will receive a newsletter containing information on the association and industry-related news.

Currently we hold our monthly meetings on the 2nd Thursday of the month with social hour starting at 6:00pm and the dinner and meeting at 7:00pm. Meetings are a great networking opportunity; there’s no better way let other members know what products or services you have to offer than in the casual face-to-face setting of the association meeting. Most meetings also feature a guest speaker presenting educational information requested by our members, or introducing a new product entering the marketplace. Recent topics have included BluWood, website design, investing for retirement, insurance coverage available through the WBA, and the different types of incorporation for small businesses. Dinners range from $14-$18 per meal, and once you become a member, your first dinner is compliments of the HNBA. We would like to see you there!

Annual dues are $450.00 which not only admits you to membership in our local association, but also gives you membership to the WBA of which there over 9000 members working to promote and preserve the American dream of home ownership and the NAHB, “the voice of America’s housing industry.” For more information on the state and national associations, visit the Wisconsin Builders Association at www.wisbuild.org and the National Association of Home Builders at www.nahb.org.
